Besides speaking and teaching, Chris Coursey offers personal, intensive prayer ministry using the Life Model and the THRIVE Conference skill training. Individuals, couples, leaders and groups benefit from focused time with Chris in a ministry setting. Chris works with individuals who have a support team in place. Chris specializes in maturity-related issues and facilitates recovery for people to address then resolve painful absences and experiences. For over ten years Chris relies on a community team approach to help people reach their goals in recovery. Consulting
In addition to prayer ministry, Chris trains leaders and couples to stay effective and resourceful in their ministry, marriage and relationships. Chris advises and directs individuals, couples and communities to apply the Life Model so they adapt with change and grow in transformation to live abundant life in Jesus Christ. Chris helps groups identify weaknesses and utilize their strengths to reach their potential. Chris provides consultations with churches and groups on how to effectively introduce maturity from the top down, avoid pitfalls, stay resourceful and rebuild after a crisis.
Training and Education
From Illinois Central College in East Peoria, Illinois, Chris transferred to Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois, to major in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. Chris graduated in May of 1998 with a B.A. degree then started work as a counselor in training with the Christian recovery ministry, C.A.R.E., Inc. Chris completed his Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from a Christian Yeshiva called MBI, or Messianic Bible Institute, out of Virginia. Chris spent his first seven years in ministry living in a redemptive community setting ministering to people with severe trauma. Chris’s training includes working with adults and children with PTSD, D.I.D., SRA, maturity related issues and a variety of personality disorders and problems that result from A and B Trauma. Chris is an ordained minister and member of the international Evangelical Church Alliance.
Chris is a published author who is currently mentored and trained by Dr. Jim Wilder. Chris is known for his relational and community approach to trauma recovery and growth.
