THRIVE Canada 2009 was the second THRIVE Conference above the border. Last year we held a one track conference while this time out we had a two track conference. Let’s just summarize the week by saying, “WOW!”

The group was small but the excitement was big! Canada has a serious group of people who want to learn the 19 skills. We observed great momentum all week in Edmonton with this passionate group of people who want to be fully alive. The energy was high throughout the week; enthusiasm for the training was obvious. Several attendees expressed deep appreciation after they experienced God for the first time in their lives. Some were eager to apply this training to boost their marriage with joy, pass on the best of themselves with their grandchildren and more. One successful business friend commented how powerful this training would be for businesses and corporations to take seriously. Another man confided he almost dropped out of the conference because he heard there would be synchronized dancing. Reluctantly, he joined his wife for the conference, unsure and unsettled going into the week. By the end of the first day he found the dancing times refreshing and fun. Would you believe he enjoyed the dance times? He loved the dance! Building joy together as we learn in a group is greatly rewarding, even fun.  

A few attendees mentioned how nervous they were going into the Immanuel times and were contemplating leaving early but after giving the exercises a chance, not only did they stay but God brought great healing to them throughout the week! They testified of God’s faithfulness and how after years of just “getting by” they experienced abundant peace and joy!

We rejoice knowing God worked mightily throughout the week as attendees practiced the 19 brain skill training. Some found immense healing, while most discovered joy, hope and encouragement. We plan another two track conference for August 2010. Great job attendees, you make us proud!
