Our first Canada THRIVE Conference excelled!

In spite of the fact that the THRIVE team failed to adequately convey the preparation needs for the first international THRIVE Conference, attendees excelled in their 19 skill training! Virtually every minute of your THRIVE experience is specifically designed to teach you the 19 brain skills. There is no time for preparation once the conference begins, and if you try to prepare during the conference, let’s just say it feels like drinking water from a fire hose. Prep work is vital! In spite of the challenge, attendees responded positively and overcame obstacles. One could say they THRIVED!

Energy remained high as parents, leaders, counselors, ministers and grandparents from all over Canada showed great excitement with what they were learning. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. We were grateful for the thirst our Canadian friends displayed. Marriages, ministries and lives are being transformed by the 19 skills. This essential training is working its way across the border into Canada with much momentum. Thanks to Anna Hill and her husband Garth, Wendy Hoven and Stacey Booy, the conference was a success. This was indeed a team effort and we give glory to God for His faithfulness. Anna spear-headed the THRIVE training and has taken several years prayerfully planting seeds to fulfill her vision for a THRIVE Conference in Canada. We salute you Anna! Much thanks to Al and Marg Jones for putting up the Courseys during their stay.

Good things are happening in Canada. At the end of the first week Chris and Jen were given official sweatshirts of the Canadian Olympic team and were initiated as honorary Canadian citizens by the group. What an honor this gesture was and what a great ending to a wonderful week.
