The November 2007 THRIVE Conference in Bloomington, Illinois was an uplifting and meaningful week filled with interactions, fellowship, learning and growing. This conference made the third THRIVEConference in one year – what a record! Although the group was smaller than usual, the week was delightful and successful on many fronts. This THRIVE was a one track conference (instead of two or even three tracks). Jen led the synchronized dancing while Chris taught the lectures and led many of the exercises. Sandy Coursey and Jody McKenzie diligently worked throughout the week on various details that go into a conference like this, from the selling of books/resources to organizing and overseeing logistics. The week was fun, momentous and even restful. Attendees practiced numerous joy exercises, appreciation, quiet, four plus stories among a variety of creative exercises to help folks learn the skills we all rely on for healthy relationships and strong communities. Many of the exercises are also designed to enhance one’s walk with the Lord and consistently prove to be extremely meaningful and healing for the attendees. From our small group came a large response to experience more of THRIVE and learn more of the skills they were introduced to throughout the week. We anticipate seeing many from this group again during future events.

We now turn our attention to planning, organizing and advertising upcoming conferences for 2008 and 2009. Many more conferences are right around the corner, we hope to see you there! Take a look at some of the fun we had from the Nov. 2007 THRIVE Conference:
