Skill Practice for the 19 Skills

Year One
Skill practice guides with exercises for a full year go with the THRIVE training provided at the THRIVE Conferences. The first year guide is available now. This guide and its exercises covers all the skills trained the first year and begins the preparation for the second year skills taught at Track II of the THRIVE Conference. A wide variety of specialized activities are designed to build your abilities but also to help you learn to diagnose the causes for the times the training does not work. Many of the reasons an exercise will not work the first time you try it are explained in detail along with possible solutions.

Chris and Jen have developed a helpful resource to build stronger brain skills and relationships. Use these exercises with the bonded partner you took to THRIVE or to help members of your family or small group learn the skills with you.

These books are designed to go after the THRIVE Conference experience just like the Living From The Heart Jesus Gave You, Bringing the LIFE Model to Life and the Belonging video and study guide are designed to prepare you for your first THRIVE Conference. These books and video are well suited for use in small group study, growth and recovery groups

Year Two
After you complete your second year at THRIVE, you are ready to practice your skills for year three. Each track not only builds on the previous training you receive during the conference, but increases in complexity and difficulty. For this reason we have developed Skill Guides to prepare you for each track of THRIVE and equip you with a solid foundation to practice your 19 skills throughout the year with your spouse, family and friends.
 The IntermediateTHRIVE Skills: Mastering Returning to Joy Skill Guide is the latest Skill Guide to be offered in the THRIVE Conference training. Mastering Returning to Joy is purposefully designed to enhance your return to joy practice and further equip you with the other numerous skills you learned from the second track of the THRIVE Conference. This skill guide, like its predecessor, also includes solutions and possible reasons why some of your attempts at the exercises may not be successful after you try them out. Some say practice makes perfect, well, we say practice increases your capacity and ability to use the 19 skills.

 Because some of the exercises you experience at Track III can be extremely challenging and even dangerous if not properly done, we require preparation before attendees can participate in some of the exercises and skill training Track III offers. It is for this reason starting in 2008 you will need to bring in your finished Year Two Skill Guide to Track III of THRIVE to fully participate and complete your Track III training as well as to receive complete credit for your conference participation.
